Vintage Florals

Summer has officially began and I thought I'd celebrate by wearing this vintage floral skirt from Wolf & Lamb. We've been hitting the 100's here in Texas for the past couple of weeks and this is perfectly fresh and flowy for the weather.

I love how the days are longer. I must have taken these photos around 7:45 p.m. and I found that it's the perfect lighting since it's not too bright (and I can actually open my eyes), but it's light enough to take the photos flash free.

And I must also celebrate that today is Friday! Although weekends come short I always try to get the most juice out of them and they actually feel longer.  Come Monday morning it feels like I haven't been to work for more than two days, which is always a nice feeling that contradicts itself because I'm back to reality.
Have a good weekend everyone!

One of my favorite thrifted necklaces.

Leopard wedges from Aldo.

OOPS!! Okay, so my mom did not tell me this was going on yesterday while taking the photos. That was due to her not wearing her contacts when she took the pictures.x

Dots

I have to admit I wasn't feeling like taking pictures today. I feel like I am getting sick and was just feeling bleh. Getting sick in the summer is the worst. I find it so annoying to be 100 degrees outside and having to constantly blow your nose. Hopefully my home remedies work and I'll be better by tomorrow.

Anyway, here are just a few shots of these fun shoes I got the other day. The platform makes them super comfortable and I thought the polka dots were a fun detail.

BACK

Work has kept me completely booked for the last month and a half and for one reason or another I just hadn't found the time to post. But I think it's safe to say things have finally pacified and so now I find myself back to blogging. Being gone for a whole month allowed me to keep several outfits in mind, which I should be posting pretty soon!

Leather crossbody from local designers, NLC (No Literal Culture). You can find their awesome leather work at Le Trendy boutique.
