In Bloom

It's been way too long since I have updated my posts, but I was being consumed by school 100%. I'm finally finished though! Although I only have three weeks before I go back for summer school, but it's not nearly as hectic.

Today I only felt like relaxing and not worrying about anything but my post and what I was going to eat.

Wearing a vintage inspired flower print dress from Marshalls.

I love the back cutout on this dress.

I wore the dress with these B. Makowsky suede wedges.

Cole Haan pink sunglasses.

I'm wearing Maybelline's Fuchsia Fever lipstick.

This ring was made by jewelry designer Viridiana Nuñez. It's become one of my favorites. She chooses all kinds of beads and stones to create her jewelry.

Brights!

via mamasrollingstone.com

Right now I am fascinated with brights. Bright lips, bright clothes, bright bags and bright shoes. Color just really seems to be grasping my attention these days and I have been on the lookout for more colorful stuff.

I recently stored my winter clothes in exchange for my summer clothes and I realized my closet is in need of color. I want to see more jungle green, cobalt, blue violet, and fiery red orange hues to brighten my outfits.

I really like the purple and red combinations.

I love the BF Rebecca Minkoff bag. Not only is the color alluring, but this mini satchel is part of her Japan Relief collection. With the purchase of one of these handbags $100 from the sale will be donated for those in need of food, care, or shelter.

Bright lips are also fun. Don't be afraid of color, illuminate your face with these exciting lip tints. Maybelline's Fuschia Fever (Jl's favorite) and Mac's Neon Orange are two lively colors to try.

Memories

I took these photos a while ago but I hadn't found any time to post them. It is the last and most hectic month before school ends so you can imagine my levels of stress at their highest right now. But this should all pay off in the summer because I am going to China! I will be spending an adventurous month traveling through China and southern Asia with Jl. So there is goodness to come, but for now I must succeed in my scholarly duties.

Some of the items worn with this outfit brought back beautiful memories of when I was in Europe. That is why I always love to get at least one significant item I know I will always cherish from my travels.

Polka dot blouse thrifted from The Label Exchange worn with mom's vintage belt.  Oh and I am also loving white nail polish right now. I can't get enough of it.

I love this leather crossbody. I found it at a leather bag stand at a market in Madrid. I remember there were so many novelties at that market. Books, jewelry, bags, clothes, food...you name it.

I bought these booties in "downtown" Paris. Very comfortable for those long walks around the city.

I also found this ring at that market in Madrid. It really is a lovely city.

Le Art

I always knew my cousin Laura was going to be an amazing artist someday. Since little girls she had the ability to draw anything brought to her imagination.

She was very creative and agile when she drew. Last Wednesday she invited me to an art exposition she and other artists were having. I'm very proud of her and her art. She will be very successful one day.

This was one of the public's favorites. It's my favorite too.

It's always been a wonder to me on how artists get their inspiration to do create such artwork.

I suppose some are just born with the talent.

My cousin Laura with some of her masterpieces.

Other local artists participated in the exposition, but unfortunately I didn't get to meet any of them.

Artsy Figures

It was nice to get a short break from school this past week. I didn't get to go anywhere since I had just returned from Puerto Vallarta, but I really just needed some time to relax and organize my life. This semester has been really tough, but I will be graduating in December so I should still enjoy my two last semesters.

These are a few pictures I took over the break. They were shot by some local offices, but between offices there are are these artsy figures. There used to be a giant piano but I don't know what happened to it.

Wearing my Bronx shoes, which I just can't get enough from. I have also worn them with these two outfits

Shoes are worn with a purple and gray skirt from Forever 21 and a black medium sleeve top from Express.

Metallic bangles from Fasha boutique. I love how versatile they are and that I can wear them with almost anything.

Paradise in Puerto Vallarta

I recently got back from Jl's cousin's wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. I was in much need of a break although I did not get much rest on this trip. Early mornings led to long days and late nights, but it was so worth it.

Puerto Vallarta is beautiful. I had never been before but I will definitely be going back.

We enjoyed our stay at Meliá Beach Resort.

This is where the wedding reception was right at sunset.
It was amazing.

Don't you just love sunsets?

I wore a one shoulder embellished dress by Miss Me Couture.

We made a one day trip to Sayulita, Nayarit to have an authentic seafood lunch.

Delicious shrimp cocktail.

Garlic butter fish with rice and fries!

We stopped at a really cute shop in which they had amazing bags, but unfortunately I was not allowed to take pictures. I was only able to sneak this picture.

I loved this whole concept with the vibrant colors.
