The Joy of Nature

Recently days have felt a little more like spring and a lot less like winter. Today I felt inspired to get some shots taken in the midst of nature. I love going to beautiful sceneries and just enjoy of my surroundings. It's very calming and relaxing.

Ultimamente los dias se han sentido un poco mas como primavera y mucho menos como invierno. Hoy me senti inspirada por tomar fotos en medio de la naturaleza. Me gusta mucho ir a paisajes hermosos y disfrutar de mis alrededores. Es muy relajante.

Back to School

Today was my first day back to school after a month long (maybe a little longer) vacation. I am pretty excited about the classes I will be taking as they are having to do with video and audio production, writing feature stories and going a little further in depth with the art of writing. My major is multimedia journalism and I am minoring in French and creative writing. Only eleven months to go.

I chose a comfortable outfit since my schedule runs from ten in the morning to six in the evening. JL and I were lucky to get two classes together, that way we can help each other edit and create video stories. Maybe if I am successful I will post one in the next couple of weeks for all of you to see.

Hoy fue mi dia de regreseo a la escuela despues de un mes de vacacions (tal vez un poquito mas). Estoy emocionada sobre las clases que estare tomando porque tienen que ver con editar videos, escribir cronicas, y aprender un poco mas sobre el arte de escribir. Estoy estudiando periodismo, junto con escritura creativa y Frances. Solo me quedan once meses.

Escoji un ensemble confortable pues mi dia corre de diez de la mañana a seis de la tarde. Jl y yo tuvimos suerte en tener dos clases juntos. De esa manera nos podemos ayudar en crear y editar nuestros videos. Tal vez si soy exitosa en ellos los mostrare para que los puedan ver.

Black & White Leopard

For this post I decided to do all black and white photos. I really like the effect given by black and white. I feel like there is a sort of mysterious elegance instantly added to the pictures. They seem so clean, classic, and artsy. It's like in the old black and white movies that are so decent and classic.

I picked this outfit out of the blue remembering I had this leopard top which I had not worn in quite a while. I want to give all my clothes a chance to be worn. Often times I forget what I have.

Para esta entrada en el blog decidi usar puras fotos en blanco y negro. Me gusta mucho el efecto que da el blanco y negro. Siento como que hay un tipo de misterio y elegancia dada a las fotos. Se ven muy limpias, clasicas, y artisticas. Es como en las peliculas viejas que son en blanco y negro que son tan clasicas y decentes.

Escoji este ensemble porque me acorde que tengo esta blusa de leopardo que hace mucho no usaba. Quiero empezar a darle una oportunidad de ser uasada a toda mi ropa. Muchas veces me olvido de lo que tengo.

Mini Perfumerie

CI have a small obsession with perfumes. Although my collection is not too big, I'm still proud of it. I like to wear a different scent everyday depending on my mood. Sometimes I like sweet, florals, or maybe a little citrus...it all depends.

My most recent add to the collection was my Gucci Flora fragrance I received from JL this Christmas. I guess my hint worked.


Tengo una mini obsecion con perfumes. Mi colleccion no es muy grande pero aun asi estoy orgullosa de ella.  Me gusta usar uno diferente cada dia dependiendo mi humor. A veces se me antoja dulce, floral, or talvez algo citrico...todo depende.

El perfume mas reciente que agregue a mi coleccion es el de Gucci Flora que me regalo Jl de Navidad. Si funciono mi indirecta.

I went to the Museum of Perfume, Fragonard, while living in Paris and brought back with me this exclusive souvenir. 

It smells a little strong, but the scent with last throughout the entire day. 

Sparkle and Dazzle

This year I really wanted a sparkly, sequence dress to celebrate New Years.  I feel New Years is the best time of the year to go all out and sparkle all over.  Although it was a very relaxed New Years eve, it was a great way to end the year surrounded by friends, a great dinner, and with JL.

Este año quise usar un vestido brilloso con lentejuela para festejar el año nuevo. Yo creo que el año nuevo es el mejor tiempo para brillar. Aunque fue una noche muy tranquila, fue una excelente forma de terminar el año alrededor de amigos, una deliciosa cena y con JL.

I found this dress at Ella Blu and immediately I was attracted to its dazzle and shine.

It was just what I had been looking for and for a perfect prize ($38!).
